What this page is for
AgencyKit connects to Facebook so that marketing agencies can receive the leads their own
Facebook and Instagram lead forms collect. If any of your information reached AgencyKit through
Facebook, this page tells you exactly what we hold and how to have it deleted.
You do not need an AgencyKit account to make a request, and there is no charge.
Which situation are you in?
Two different kinds of data reach us from Facebook, and the route is different for each.
- You filled in a lead form on Facebook or Instagram for a business, and now
that business is contacting you. Read section 1.
- You connected a Facebook Page to AgencyKit, for your own business or a
client's. Read section 2.
1. You filled in a lead form
When you submit a lead form, Facebook passes your answers to the business that ran the ad.
If that business uses AgencyKit, we store those answers on their behalf. We hold:
- The answers you gave, including your name, email address and phone number if the form
asked for them, and any other question the business added
- Which consent boxes you ticked or left unticked, and the wording you were shown
- The identifiers Facebook sends with a lead: the lead, form, page and ad identifiers.
These are Facebook's own reference numbers, not your profile
We do not receive your Facebook profile, your friends, your posts, or anything you did not
type into that form.
The business you contacted is the one that decides what happens to your
information. AgencyKit stores it for them. You can ask either of us:
- Ask the business directly. They can delete your record themselves, immediately.
- Or email us at privacy@agencykit.tech and we
will pass your request to them and confirm when it is done.
2. You connected a Facebook Page
If you pressed Connect with Facebook inside AgencyKit, we hold:
- An access token for each Page you chose, stored encrypted, used only to read that Page's
lead forms and the leads they collect
- An app-scoped Facebook user identifier. This is a number Facebook gives us that is
different for every app, so it identifies you to AgencyKit and to nobody else
- The name and identifier of each Page you connected
You can end this yourself at any time, in either place:
- In AgencyKit: Settings, then the Meta tab, then remove the page. We tell
Facebook to stop sending, and delete the token.
- On Facebook: Settings and privacy, then Settings, then Business
Integrations, then remove AgencyKit. This revokes our access immediately.
Removing the app on Facebook stops any further access. To have what we already hold deleted
as well, email us using the form below.
3. How to make a request
Email privacy@agencykit.tech with the subject
Facebook data deletion, and tell us enough to find you:
- The email address or phone number you gave on the form, or the Page you connected
- Roughly when it happened, if you remember
- The name of the business you were dealing with, if you know it
We may ask one question back to confirm the request is really yours. We will not ask you for
a password, and we will never ask for payment details.
4. What deletion actually means
We would rather tell you exactly what happens than promise something round and vague.
- Your record is removed from the live system straight away, and stops appearing anywhere in
the product from that moment
- Encrypted database backups are kept on a rolling schedule and are not edited. Your data
leaves those as they age out, within 30 days of your request
- If we are legally required to keep something, an invoice or a record of the deletion
request itself, we will tell you what and why rather than delete it quietly
- Deleting your data from AgencyKit does not delete it from Facebook. Facebook keeps its own
copy of leads for a period, and you would need to ask them separately
5. If you are not satisfied
If we have not resolved your request, or you disagree with our answer, write to
legal@agencykit.tech. If you are in a country with a
data protection authority, you also have the right to complain to them.
